Incident Command Training
The Incident Command System (ICS) is a standardized, on-scene, all-hazards incident management approach that:
- Allows for integration of facilities, equipment, personnel, procedures, and communications operating within a commonorganizational structure.
- Enables a coordinated response among various jurisdictions and functional agencies.
- Establishes common processes for planning and managing resources.
This system is flexible and can be used for incidents of any type, scope, and complexity.
Depending on your role in the ICS at the University, there may be additional training you are required to take. Please see the attached matrix to determine if you need this training.
This training, with exception of ICS/G300 and ICS/G400, can be taken through your online Chalk training. If you are required to take ICS/G300 or ICS/G400, please contact the University Emergency Management Coordinator for information as to how to schedule this training. Once any training is completed, send FEMA certificate of completion to the University Emergency Management Coordinator.
