Dr. Koch is an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center in the Department of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Koch earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from John Carroll University in University Heights, OH. She earned her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and trained at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for Emergency Medicine Residency. She completed the US Department of Veterans Affairs Quality Scholars multidisciplinary fellowship where she also earned her Master of Public Health Policy track from Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Koch's interests include expanding access to high quality emergency medical care to traditionally underserved populations, quality improvement, health policy, and resident education.

Overview

Dr. Koch's research focuses on expanding access to high quality emergency care. Particular interests include quality improvement, emergency mental health care, and health services research. Dr. Koch also serves as a contributor to the EM:RAP Corependium textbook.
