Professional Background
Dr. Eric Hockstad is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subcertifications in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease. He completed a fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School Twin Cities. His clinical interests include the treatment of acute coronary syndromes, coronary intervention, percutaneous left atrial appendage closure, and the treatment of patent foramen ovales and atrial septal defects. He serves as the medical director of the cardiac catheterization labs, and of the chest pain program at KU
