Professional Background
Dr. Erin Calhoun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She went on to complete her Family Medicine residency and a clinical fellowship in academic and clinical skills focused on hospital medicine at the University of Michigan, where she also served as a Clinical Instructor. Her clinical interests include comprehensive primary care, hospital medicine, patient education, and mentoring future physicians.
Dedicated to both patient care and medical education, Dr. Calhoun has completed formal faculty development training and is passionate about teaching in both the clinical and academic settings.
