Professional Background
Dr. Ethan Jaeger is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician. He practices in a primary care office, where he enjoys treating people of all ages and with all conditions. His interests are in cardiovascular medicine, preventive medicine, exercise as medicine, and many other disciplines.
Dr. Jaeger also sees patients in an orthopedic sports medicine office, where he treats sports and musculoskeletal-related injuries and concerns. He specializes in fracture management, stress fractures, tendon injuries, and overuse conditions, peripheral nerve conditions, ultrasound-guided procedures, and more. Ultimately, he hopes to reach as many people as he can using his abilities to maximize their physical and mental health and well-being, as well as their ability to achieve their personal physical activity and fitness goals. These include anything from walking or moving pain-free to competing and performing in their sport or activity at the highest level.
Dr. Jaeger completed medical school at A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and his residency at the University of Missouri. There, he served as chief resident in his final year. He completed a sports medicine fellowship, also at the University of Missouri, where he was a team physician for the University of Missouri Athletics and Stephens College Athletics.
He played collegiate baseball and basketball and has an undergraduate background in exercise physiology, exercise nutrition, and biomechanics (exercise science), which complements his expertise in sports medicine. His hobbies include wilderness medicine and endurance athletics, and team sports training.
