Professional Background

Dr. Dennis Sosnovske is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Sosnovske also serves as Attending Physician covering apheresis service at KU Hospitals.

Before his career in Medicine, Dr. Sosnovske was a high school science teacher for 19 years.

Overview

I am interested in aspects of Transfusion Medicine, including patient blood management, blood product utilization, plasma apheresis, red blood cell exchange, and medical education.

further, I am interested in pathogen reduced blood products, and hope to utilize pathogen reduction as a method of increasing the shelf life of blood products.
