Denise Sangoi, OTD, OTR/L

Professional Background

A KU alumna, Denise Sangoi, OTD, OTR/L, is a clinical assistant professor and academic fieldwork coordinator in the KU Department of Occupational Therapy Education at KU Medical Center. She has experience in school-based practice, inpatient rehabilitation practice, outpatient behavioral health practice and higher education. She joined the faculty in 2022 and currently supports fieldwork and capstone teams.

Working remotely from Illinois, Sangoi also previously provided telehealth occupational therapy services to students and school-based providers across five counties in southeast Kansas through the ANW Special Education Cooperative. Her work with the cooperative served children with special needs 3 to 21 years of age.
