David T. Rouse, MD is an Assistant Professor in the University of Kansas Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Rouse holds a B.S. with honors in Biological Sciences and an M.D. from the University of Missouri - Columbia. While in college, he worked as a research assistant in neurobiology, biochemistry, and neurology. After graduating with an M.D., he completed an internship with the UMKC Department of General Surgery. He graduated from the residency program at KU Otolaryngology - Head andamp; Neck Surgery in 2005. He is board-certified in otolaryngology - head and neck surgery and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Before joining KU ENT, Dr. Rouse was a partner and physician with Northland Ear, Nose andamp; Throat, PC in Liberty MO and affiliated with the Liberty Hospital. After more than a decade in private practice, Dr. Rouse joined our academic medical center to bring the most innovative surgical expertise to our community-based practice model. His interdisciplinary approach has resulted in strong outcomes for sleep apnea surgery including Inspire, Mohs reconstruction, head and neck cancer, sinus disease, and all other aspects of the otolaryngology scope of practice. Dr. Rouse' expertise expands our general otolaryngology services to include care at the University of Kansas Health System's Corporate Medical Plaza location in Overland Park, Kansas.
