Professional Background

As a health policy researcher, I work with Cancer and Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers to enhance the resource navigation core to ease their financial, mental, and stress-related barriers to obtaining care and improve their health outcomes. Additionally, we utilize the Artificial Intelligence mechanism to pair the patients with the appropriate resources they seek seamlessly. Utilizing data trends, our team designs and develops interventions to improve patient outcomes across our outreach area. Based on the longitudinal data analysis, we translate the predictive model into applications and algorithms that are utilized broadly across our network. Experienced in developing and deploying machine learning and AI solutions, with a focus on predictive analytics, natural language processing, and computer vision applications. I have successfully led projects from data collection and model training through to deployment, optimizing workflows and enhancing user experiences across various platforms. Skilled in Python, TensorFlow, and Scikit-Learn, I leverage my technical expertise to drive data-driven decision-making and develop innovative, scalable solutions that meet business objectives.

I oversee and provide expertise in designing and implementing research databases and data warehouses. Additionally, as an informatics expert, I have designed and developed innovative informatics tools that could efficiently and effectively help conduct clinical trial execution. Cancer Curated Clinical Outcomes Database (C3OD) is an example of a data warehouse. C3OD is an intuitive user interface utilized by our physicians and research staff to perform feasibility analysis and trial recruitment. I have 15+ years of experience with database development and maintenance to execute multi-center clinical trials through various phases – study start-up, participant identification, recruitment, data collection, curation, quality analysis, data dissemination, and manuscript publication. Our team has undergone a rigorous validation process to get our Clinical Research Information System (CRIS) 21 CFR Part 11 compliant (prescribed by the FDA).

Research

Overview

Research interests: Population health, epidemiology, electronic health records, administrative claims data, observational study design, categorical data analysis, survival analysis, longitudinal data, System integration, Informatics Eco-system

Current research areas include Financial Toxicity among Cancer Patients, Rural/Racial disparities, Informatics System integration, Clinical trial optimization. Our team has built an Informatics Eco-System combined with constructed in-house and 3rd party owned tools. Each system within the ecosystem helps expedite the research process and facilities that an individual research team performs on an extensive scheme of things. The crucial element has been integrated to avoid data discrepancy and the elimination of double data entry.
