Dr. Danielle Johnson is a Clinical Assistant Professor and licensed psychologist in the University of Kansas Medical Center Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Dr. Johnson obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from University of Missouri-Columbia followed by a Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She then obtained her Ph.D in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas. Dr. Johnson completed an APA-accredited internship at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Dr. Johnson has worked with a diverse range of ages and clinical concerns in diverse settings, including community mental health center, primary care settings, outpatient mental health clinics, state psychiatric hospital, and medical center.

Dr. Johnson joined the faculty May 2019, spending majority of her time providing consults to the inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric unit, as well as supervising the training of psychology trainee's as well as medical students. She maintains a small case of outpatient psychotherapy patients with focus on mood and anxiety disorders, stress management, and chronic health issues to a culturally diverse adolescent and adult population.
