Heritage Months and Celebrations
Throughout the year, we mark heritage months with educational and interactive programs. These events provide an opportunity to share historical perspectives, personal experiences and connections among individuals in our campus communities and beyond.
At the University of Kansas Medical Center, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is committed to creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive learning and working environment that nurtures the growth and development of our students, faculty and staff. Our office focuses on embracing diversity in our community to improve the feeling of inclusivity among our employees and learners and increase campus representation of diverse individuals.
Each year, we coordinate events and programs to celebrate the heritage and diversity of KU Medical Center community members. Through community member spotlights, guest speakers and panels, research presentations and conversations, we learn together and foster the inclusive environment we seek at the medical center.
