Health Outcomes Assembly
This biannual event is a multidisciplinary convening focused on unpacking and mitigating health care disparities affecting marginalized communities.
The Health Outcomes Assembly is presented in partnership by KU Medical Center and The University of Kansas Health System. This dynamic event brings together health care providers, educators, community leaders and the public for engaging discussions focused on improving health outcomes.
Bridging Voices, Breaking Barriers: Maternal and Infant Health

9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will feature:
- Keynote address by Dr. Tiffany Anderson, superintendent of Topeka Public Schools and an expert in the fields of education and health equity
- Roundtable discussions from the health professional's perspective
- A community health leadership panel
- Speakers from a variety of specialities
The Health Outcomes Assembly is made possible through support from the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Center for African American Health.
About the Health Outcomes Assembly
Founded in 2021 by faculty and staff at KU Medical Center, the Health Outcomes Assembly aims to:
- increase awareness of bias and its impact on patient treatment and health outcomes,
- promote multidisciplinary review of disparities in care and
- establish solutions toward mitigating disparities further exacerbated within our medical community.
