Professional Background

Dipika Aggarwal, MBBS, is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She joined the faculty in 2014.

Dr. Aggarwal earned her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, India. After graduating from medical school, she moved to the United States and completed her neurology residency at KU Medical Center, where she also finished a one-year clinical neurophysiology fellowship.

Dr. Aggarwal is board certified in neurology, clinical neurophysiology and electrodiagnostic medicine. She specializes in general neurology and her clinical interests include neuropathy, migraines/headaches, stroke, dementia, muscle disorders, Parkinson's disease etc. She is actively involved with residents while precepting their clinics and teaches them Botox injections, nerve blocks and trigger point injections. She is also heavily involved with Intra Operative Monitoring for various spine and neurosurgeries.

In 2019, unfortunately she suffered from a stroke. Her own experience and being a stroke survivor has made her very passionate about raising awareness regarding stroke. She is actively involved with various non-profit organizations including American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, American Stroke Foundation locally in Kansas City. She is also the co-founder and co-facilitator of the first Stroke Survivors Support Group at the University of Kansas Health System.
