Professional Background

Dr. Farrell serves as the molecular pathologist for the Clinical Molecular Oncology Laboratory (CMOL) in the Division of Genomic Diagnostics. He received his MD from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his residency in Clinical Pathology at University of California, Irvine Medical Center, where he was also chief resident. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Hematopathology at LAC+USC Medical Center and Molecular Genetic Pathology at University of Utah/ARUP Laboratories. His research interests include molecular profiling of hematolymphoid neoplasms and bioinformatics.
