Professional Background

Dr. Savioz received her bachelor's degree from University of Pennsylvania. She went onto receive her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in radiation oncology at University of Pittsburgh and University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Savioz is board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology and a member of several professional organizations including: American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Medical Association and Albert Schweitzer Fellows for Life. Dr. Savioz's specialty skills and interests include stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiation therapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy, brachytherapy, intraoperative breast radiotherapy and survivorship. Dr. Savioz is the Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the department of radiation oncology and also serves as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion cabinet member for the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Having experienced family members undergo medical treatment, Dr. Savioz knows how difficult, overwhelming, and confusing things can get. Dr. Savioz approaches every patient as her family and works to maximize quality of life as well as treatment outcomes.
