*KLT+ is a temporary coverage/moonlighting program that offers coverage for rural and urban underserved health care organizations in Kansas. Short- and long-term coverages are available for Primary Care and Specialty Care. KLT+ uses practicing physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical mission providers, and resident physicians to fill coverage requests.
Kansas Locum Tenens (KLT) services help address the shortage of physicians in rural and underserved areas by connecting providers with rural and underserved Kansas health care employers that need temporary medical coverage.
Resident physicians, fellows, and faculty from all campuses and programs at the University of Kansas School of Medicine are eligible to provide Primary Care (family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and medicine-pediatrics) temporary coverage through the KLT program. KLT services are available to rural and urban underserved health care employers all across Kansas.
