Rural Health Care Marketing Conference
The Rural Health Education and Services marketing team develops and hosts marketing conferences developed specifically for rural health care organizations.
Past topics have included branding, marketing and action plans, market research, social media trends, communications strategies, survey insights, recruiting providers, video marketing, content marketing, and employee engagement.
Kansas Career Opportunities (KCO)
KCO is an annual health care career fair held each fall in Wichita and Kansas City. KCO provides an opportunity for resident physicians, health care job seekers and students to network with health care employers from all across Kansas.
Representatives from more than 30 health care employers use this opportunity to meet and begin building relationships with prospective employees. During KCO, health care employers from across Kansas recruit for current and future positions.
Rural Kansas Photography Contest
For more than a decade, amateur and professional photographers have helped us showcase the beauty found in our beloved Kansas communities. These photos have led us to the far corners of the State, transported us to unique landmarks, introduced us to new friends and neighbors, and helped us rediscover the beauty in our own backyards. Most importantly, these images have helped us promote the rich history and beauty of Kansas to our future health care providers.
National Rural Health Day
Join us as we honor America's heart and soul—our rural neighbors and communities! Nearly 62 million Americans live in rural and frontier communities. Rural communities are wonderful places to live and work, but these communities also have unique health care needs, which is why the National Organization of State Offices of Rural sets aside the third Thursday of every November to celebrate National Rural Health Day. We host receptions in Kansas City and Wichita that include voting for the winners of that year's Rural Kansas Photography Contest.
