Meet the Children's Miracle Network KC Heartland Staff

Jill Garrard
Executive Director

Jill Garrard has been the Executive Director for Children's Miracle Network KC Heartland since 2012. Prior to that, she spent three years working for the Jayhawk Area Council, Boy Scouts of America in Topeka. There, she created and implemented the 20 Under 40 fundraising event and successfully completed a capital campaign to fund renovations to Falley Scout Reservation. Prior to her time with BSA, she spent nine years fundraising for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, planning and implementing local events including the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon. 

A native of Iowa, Jill graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. In June of 2015, she earned her CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) credentials. Jill loves to read and spend time with her husband and two daughters. 


Amy Lueders

Amy has been the Development Manager for Children's Miraalueders@kumc.educle Network KC Heartland since 2012. Prior to that, she was the Program Coordinator for seven years at the Muscular Dystrophy Associaton in Mooresville, North Carolina. The opportunity to work with amazaing KU medical staff, partners and families who are all passionate about raising funds to benefit CMN has been the greatest gift of her career. 

Amy graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2000 and has called Kansas City home for the last ten years. She enjoys reading, fitness and spending time with her husband, two sons and dog, Charlie.


Lexie Clark

Lexie has been a Development Manager for Children's Miracle Network KC Heartland since 2019. Prior to that, she was a Manager on the Business Intelligence team at Children's Miracle Network Hospitals headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT. Prior to her time in Salt Lake City, Lexie was a Program Coordinator for Children's Miracle Network Hospital at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System in Tyler, TX. She is passionate about CMNH because of how it allows communities to make significant investments in pediatric healthcare, often a dollar at a time!

Though originally from Colorado, Lexie graduated from the University of Kansas in 2013. She enjoys reading, volunteering and cheering on the Jayhawks with her family.


Sue Nutterfield
Fiscal Analyst

Sue has been with Children's Miracle Network KC Heartland since 2012. She has worked in        non-profit accounting for most of her career. She believes the most important part of her job is supporting the whole team to provide what is necessary for the care and support of local kids in the community. 

In her free time, Sue enjoys being active, creative and spending time with her two sons and friends.
