This distinguished honor recognizes caregivers who demonstrate exceptional compassion, dedication, and a profound commitment to improving the lives of patients and families. Lexi embodies all of these qualities and more.
As a Child Life Specialist in the PICU, Lexi plays a vital role in helping children and their families navigate some of their most challenging moments. From offering comforting items and emotional support to creating moments of joy through birthday and holiday celebrations, Lexi brings light, normalcy, and reassurance when families need it most.
Her work—and the work of the entire Child Life team—is made possible in part through the support of CMN at KU Medical Center, which proudly invests in programs that help kids feel like kids, even during hospitalization.

of this year’s Radiothon, where an incredible $107,060 was raised to support kids and families right here in Kansas City.
This record-breaking total was made possible thanks to the generosity of listeners, donors, and the dedicated team at Cumulus Media, who helped rally the community throughout the event. Their enthusiasm, storytelling, and commitment created a day full of hope and inspiration.
Every dollar raised stays local, directly supporting programs, equipment, and services that help ensure children in our community receive the compassionate, life-changing care they deserve.
