How Your Dollars Make Miracles

The Pediatrics Department at the University of Kansas Medical Center is proud to be the local CMN Hospital in the Greater Kansas City area. The funds raised through CMN events go directly to fund pediatric research initiatives taking place exclusively at KU Medical Center. In addition, funds help sick and injured children being treated at the University of Kansas Health System. These dollars are used to pay for charitable care, equipment, supplies and educational programs.

$79,835 raised for the Minutes for Miracles Radiothon

On December 9, Cumulus Media dedicated twelve hours of airtime highlighting the importance of Children’s Miracle Network through family journeys of heartache, hope and healing.  Our Kansas City community responded with overwhelming generosity raising $79,835 for local kids at KU Medical Center.

Special thanks to our friends at Cumulus Media for their hard work and dedication. We would also like to thank each listener who called in their gifts to make this year’s radiothon a great success!

Club Car Wash Cleans Up in 2021!

Last year we were thrilled to welcome Club Car Wash as a new fundraising partner, and they showed us that their commitment to CMN is as robust as their MVP wash! The six locations in the Greater Kansas City area (and growing) raised over $30,000 through their $10 Tuesday year-round campaign.

Thank you, Club Car Wash, for helping KU Medical Center deliver on our mission to change kids’ health to change the future. We are excited to see what you have planned for 2022!

Extra Life Wins Again: Game Day 2021

On November 6, gamers across the country came together to play, stream, and raise money for the kids on Game Day! To date, 212 gamers have nearly $101,000 for Kansas City kids, far surpassing their 2019 total!  Fifty-three gamers have reached out exceeded their fundraising goal for 2021. We are incredibly grateful for their enthusiasm and dedication to helping change KC kids’ health at KU Medical Center.

This year, home-gamers were joined by Ottawa University Esports’ first Extra Life stream on Game Day. OU Gamers raised over $1,600, blowing their $1,000 goal out of the water. The Braves join Missouri Western State University and Park University as Extra Life Esports teams.

We are looking forward to new partnerships and ever-increasing momentum in 2022. We hope you will join us! Head over to www.extra-life.org and get registered TODAY!

Students Change Kids Health to Change the Future

Be the change you wish to see in the world. This often-quoted parable is embodied in the students who support Children’s Miracle Network. Patients at KU Medical Center are not the only ones who benefit from the hard work and dedication of student groups raising funds and awareness for CMN. Through planning and managing fundraising and awareness campaigns, students acquire various transferable skills including nonprofit and volunteer management, communication and marketing, finance, budgeting and more.

Thank you to the students who have helped Change Kid’s Health and Change the Future!
