Benjamin W. Quick, MD, MPH

Professional Background
Dr. Quick is actively engaged in medical student education serving as an Assistant Director for the Cates Academic Society. He is a Problem Based Learning (PBL) facilitator and academic coach for first and second-year medical students. He is also a Specialty Liaison in the Careers and Subspecialty Advising (CASA) program where he provides guidance to students on choosing internal medicine as a specialty and assists them with application preparedness.
Dr. Quick is a Core Faculty member with the KU Internal Medicine Residency Program. He is actively involved in resident Quality Improvement projects serving as a faculty lead for the residency Longitudinal QI Academy. He developed and teaches a curriculum on health disparities. Dr. Quick serves as the Chair of the Clinical Competency Committee and precepts resident physicians in their primary care continuity clinic.
In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Quick is a board-certified Internist and maintains an active ambulatory internal medicine practice. He remains active in the American College of Physicians serving as Chair of the Health and Public Policy Committee organizing the Chapter’s State and Federal advocacy efforts.
