Professional Background

Brad Pfaltzgraff, MLS(ASCP)MBcm, joined the KU faculty in 2016 as a clinical instructor teaching the laboratory component of courses in immunohematology, fundamentals of analytical chemistry, immunology, and molecular diagnostics.

Pfaltzgraff graduated from the University of Kansas in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science with both the clinical and molecular concentrations. He holds dual certifications from the ASCP Board of Certification as a medical laboratory scientist and molecular biotechnologist.

After graduation, Pfaltzgraff worked as a generalist for a year in Arizona before returning to Kansas City in 2014 as a clinical chemist in the Core Lab at The University of Kansas Health System. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he continues to work in the hospital's lab as part of the clinical integration initiative.
