Ashley Vail MSN, RN has been a clinical instructor at the University of Kansas-Salina campus since July 2019. Previously, Ashley worked as a simulation coordinator for a regional hospital in Salina, Kansas, in which she served as the lead for various orientation simulations, and ongoing simulation development for continuing education that served as training for nurses, students nurses, medical students, and physicians. In this role, Ashley was also the lead instructor for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, in which high fidelity, in-situ simulation was utilized. Ashley received the Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) credential from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare in 2018. Ashley has clinical experience in women’s health, surgery, and case management. Currently, Ashley is serving as the simulation lab coordinator for KU School of Nursing-Salina campus.
