Professional Background
Dr.Stand has been a faculty member at KUMC since 2021. She was raised in Kansas and attended medical school at KU. She completed Internal Medicine residency and Geriatrics fellowship training at the University of Colorado.
Her clinical practice is in the outpatient setting where she provides primary and consultative care for older adults. She participates in an interdisciplinary clinic to support complex patients in the areas of Memory, Mobility, Medications, Multi-Morbidity and what Matters Most (The 5Ms). Dr.Stand also takes this approach in her Primary Care clinic and focuses on how each illness and intervention may impact her patient’s overall quality of life.
