acoy@kumc.eduProfessional Background
I completed medical school at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City and residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. Following completion of residency, I returned to the University of Kansas where I currently work as one of our core residency faculty and associate program directors. My clinical interests include hospital medicine, women's health, point of care ultrasound, and procedural care. I enjoy the wide variety of care that we can provide as Family Medicine physicians and I value the lasting relationships that we create with patients and their families. My educational interests include competency based medical education, POCUS, and simulation. I am one of our faculty champions for our longitudinal POCUS program and help to direct our residency's simulation curriculum.
