Anil Chauhan, MD

Professional Background

Dr. Anil Chauhan is a Professor of Radiology and the Department Vice-Chair of Artificial Intelligence, Informatics, and Innovation. He graduated from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, followed by residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis MN where he was awarded "Research Resident of the Year", and fellowship in body imaging at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.

Before joining faculty at KUMC, Dr. Chauhan did hold faculty positions at the University of Pennsylvania as Assistant Professor and Director of Center for Advanced Liver Imaging, and at the University of Minnesota as Associate Professor and the Director of Center for Radiology Research Resources.

Dr. Chauhan enjoys teaching the medical students, residents, and fellows, and was awarded "teacher of the year" by the residents at the University of Minnesota. His areas of clinical practice involves abdominal imaging, with a specific interest in oncologic imaging. He is also a fellow of multiple societies, including AIUM, SAR and SRU.


Research

Overview

Dr. Chauhan has extensive research background, with specific interest in radiomics, large data analytics, and oncologic imaging research. He is on editorial board of multiple journals, and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Chauhan has also developed multiple collaborations between different departments, colleges, and Institutions. He has given numerous CME lectures locally and nationally.
