Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and Graduate Studies
Welcome to the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and Graduate Studies (OPAGS), a division of the Office of Academic Affairs. The OPAGS staff are dedicated to serving students and trainees throughout their academic career at KUMC, from the first year PhD graduate students in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences, to graduate students in almost 50 programs and disciplines, to postdoctoral scholars continuing their research and training, to career and professional development training that provides the skills and experience to successfully launch the next phase of their careers.
- Graduate Studies- The Office of Graduate Studies oversees graduate programs at KUMC that encompass several disciplines and more than 1100 graduate students, providing University level administrative oversight to ensure quality and integrity within these diverse programs. - Postdoctoral Affairs- The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) is committed to the success of postdoctoral scholars and oversees administrative aspects and provides service to the approximately 100 scholars at KUMC as well as the faculty and administrators who work with them. - Career and Professional Development- OPAGS is committed to providing career and professional development training that complements the outstanding academic scholarship our graduate students and postdoctoral trainees receive at KUMC.
