Make an appointment at Student Health Services. We offer a full array of services and most appointments are free of charge.
Our mission is to support the student’s learning experience through the delivery of high-quality, affordable health care services and innovative programs that promote the health of the student, university and community.
Services at the Kansas City Student Health Clinic
Most appointments are free of charge. We offer a full array of services including:
- well-woman exams and contraception
- screen for and treat sexually transmitted illnesses
- travel medicine consults
- diagnosis and treatment for illnesses and injuries
- diagnose and treat anxiety and depression
We also provide venipuncture services and offer reduced fees on certain lab procedures, including titers which are blood tests to check for immunity. We provide referrals to specialists and the counseling center when indicated.

Appointments are required for the Kansas City Student Health Clinic. Use your online KUMC Student Health Account or call 913-588-1941 to schedule, cancel, or reschedule an appointment.
Arrive 10 minutes before your appointment with your insurance card. If you are more than 10 minutes late, the appointment may be rescheduled.
Fee Schedules
Certain procedures, immunizations and visits require a small fee. Please review the details in the following documents.
Immunizations and Entrance Exams
Our office will help you complete various health requirements, which you can track through your personal KUMC Student Health Account. The online account is the hub for your immunization records, test results and other information.
Simply log in using your Novell user name and password. Once you are logged into the system, you may:
- View secure messages, including lab test results or notification of Student Health holds.
- View your immunization record.
- Make or cancel appointments for immunizations, TB tests and enrollment physicals on the Kansas City campus.
- Complete satisfaction surveys.
- Send secure messages to nurses or providers.

Though students in Wichita and Salina can’t access primary care services through our Kansas City Student Health Clinic, we encourage you to follow these steps to access care with our partners closer to your location.

Salina Campus
- Upon initial start of the degree program, a Salina student must first apply for "New Patient" status on SRHC website. When applying, please self-identify as a University of Kansas, Salina campus student.
- Primary Care service associated with Student Health can be received at the 2 Comcare locations. Weekend/emergency services be obtained at StatCare, 1001 S. Ohio and Urgent Care clinic, 2265 S. 9th St.

Flu Shots
Flu shots are not available to Wichita and Salina students in the Kansas City office. Instead, we encourage you to get your flu shot through your primary care provider or a pharmacy closer to your location. Please send a record of your flu shot to studentvaccines@kumc.edu or fax to 913-588-8841.
