What Makes a Student Ineligible for Legacy Borrowing Status?
The One Big, Beautiful Bill Act created different rules for federal student loans depending whether a student is a legacy borrower or if the student is a new borrower. This video will cover which students are considered legacy borrowers, who is a new borrower, and what the loan options are for each of those groups of borrowers.
This video will focus on new guidance regarding scenarios that make a student lose their legacy borrower status and the options available to a student to pay for the remainder of their academic program.
