Military and Veterans' Events on Campus
In support of our military and veteran students, faculty and staff, we host regular events and meetings and encourage participation on our Military and Veterans Affair Committee.
Military and Veterans' Affairs Committee
The KU Medical Center Military and Veterans Affairs Committee works to develop a military- and veteran-friendly campus and facilitate health research relevant to military members, veterans and their families. The committee includes students, faculty, staff and community partners who share this mission.
KUMC Veterans Celebrations 2024
In honor of Veterans Day, the University of Kansas Medical Center will host a variety of events November 11-15. Events are open the entire KU and KU Medical Center community.
- Throughout the week of November 11-15, the Registrar’s Office will be displaying the flags for the military branches on the HEB bridge.
Monday, November 11:
Taps will be played by Staff Sergeant Daniel Loeschen of the 312th Army Band in Leavenworth at 11 a.m. in the Murphy Courtyard.

Tuesday, November 12:
The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is sponsoring the Jayhawk Coffee Break in Murphy Lobby for Veterans Week. Stop by from 8:30-9:30 to enjoy a cup of Spokes coffee!

Intentional Leadership: How To Be Deliberate In Your Actions, 12:15-1:15 p.m.
