The Postdoctoral Association at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) supports and advocates for postdoctoral scholars at KUMC in their professional research training and career development.
Purpose and Mission
The purpose and mission of the University of Kansas Medical Center Postdoctoral Association (KPA) are to:
- To support and advocate for postdoctoral scholars at the KUMC in all aspects of their professional research training and career development
- To promote interaction among KUMC postdoctoral scholars on an academic, social and cultural basis
- To act as a liaison between the Vice Chancellor for Academic & Student Affairs, Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, Postdoctoral Advisory Committee, mentors, department chairs and administrators, and the postdoctoral scholars population, as well as represent the interests of the postdoctoral scholars
