The Dr. Archie A. Heddings Program was established to facilitate cultural and educational exchange in the field of Orthopedic Trauma. Preference is given to eligible physicians and/or residents from Romania. The award fully supports a two-week exchange at the University of Kansas Medical Center's Department of Orthopedic Surgery.

This award was established by Dr. Archie A. Heddings, Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, to encourage a cross-cultural and educational short-term experience for orthopedic trauma physicians and residents from Romania, or medical students at KUMC.
