If you are an international student and you are uncertain as to whether you will need a student visa to attend KUMC, contact the Office of International Programs directly.
Admission Criteria
The Office of Graduate-Postdoctoral Studies and Assessment's minimum admission requirements for both degree-seeking and non-degree-seeking applicants can be found in the KUMC Graduate Studies section of the Academic Catalog. Some of these requirements are:
- A completed bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Background Check requirement which may affect the student's eligibility to enter the program. In the case of students involved in direct patient contact, additional checks maintained by various health care disciplines may be required. Prospective students should check with their individual academic programs regarding these additional checks.
- Minimum English Proficiency Requirement which is also posted on the International Programs website.
- International Transcript Evaluation
- Students with bachelor's degrees from international institutions must have their transcripts evaluated for equivalency. Please speak to the program you are applying to about evaluation requirements.
