Distinguished Professorship

Nominations for University Distinguished Professor and Distinguished Professor are accepted on a rolling basis and are initiated at the department or school level by an individual or group in an associated discipline.

Prestigious Roles

  • University Distinguished Professor is reserved for faculty who have made significant and sustained contributions to research, scholarship, teaching and education at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
  • Distinguished Professor is reserved for faculty being actively recruited to a faculty appointment at KU Medical Center who have with an outstanding academic career at another institution being recruited for a faculty position at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Nomination Process

All nominations should be submitted to the Faculty Affairs Office.

Letter of intent submissions are due by November 1, 2024.
