Distinguished Professorship
Nominations for University Distinguished Professor and Distinguished Professor are accepted on a rolling basis and are initiated at the department or school level by an individual or group in an associated discipline.
Prestigious Roles
- University Distinguished Professor is reserved for faculty who have made significant and sustained contributions to research, scholarship, teaching and education at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
- Distinguished Professor is reserved for faculty being actively recruited to a faculty appointment at KU Medical Center who have with an outstanding academic career at another institution being recruited for a faculty position at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Nomination Process
All nominations should be submitted to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research.
