Counseling Practicum Student
z654g975@kumc.eduProfessional Background
I am currently a third-year doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kansas. My clinical training has primarily taken place in college counseling settings, where I have worked with undergraduate and graduate students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
My therapeutic orientation is integrative, grounded in person-centered and strengths-based perspectives. I also draw from Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and multicultural frameworks. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where clients can explore their identities, strengthen their internal resources, and build a personal toolbox to support continued growth beyond therapy. I have experience working with clients presenting with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, adjustment issues, OCD, trauma-related, and eating-related challenges. I am passionate about working with students—including international and multicultural populations—and supporting them through their unique developmental journeys.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy crocheting, reading, and watching animated films. I see creativity and imagination as important parts of both my personal life and my work as a therapist.
