Jen Dolson, M.Ed.
Professional Background
I received a BS in Sport Science from KU, a BA in Secondary Education in Natural Science from University of Missouri - Kansas City, and a Master's of Education in Educational Technology from University of Missouri. Prior to coming to KU Medical Center, I taught middle school and high school science in Pennsylvania and Missouri. My first experience with KUMC was as a program developer to teach Kansas high school health science teachers and students about the vast career options in the health care field. While I enjoyed my time with younger learners, I truly love working with students moving toward their professional degrees. Being able to dissect the learning process and look at ways to increase student learning and therefore individual student success, are at the heart of why I love what I do.
When not at KUMC, I love to spend time with my husband and our two children - they always keep things interesting and exciting! I also love to cook and eat good food, read, spend time with family and friends, and go to live events, whether they be music, author lectures, or sports (especially Jayhawk basketball!).
