Jen Dolson, M.Ed.

Professional Background

Jen received a BS in Sports Science from KU, a BA in Secondary Education in Natural Science from University of Missouri - Kansas City, and a Master's of Education in Educational Technology from University of Missouri.  Prior to coming to KU Medical Center, she taught middle school and high school science in Pennsylvania and Missouri.  Her first experience with KUMC was in 2008 as a program developer to teach Kansas high school health science teachers and students about the vast career options in the health care field. In 2010, Jen joined the Counseling and Educational Support team and while she enjoyed her time with younger learners, she truly loves working with students moving toward their professional degrees.  Being able to dissect the learning process and look at ways to increase student learning and therefore individual student success, are at the heart of why she loves what she does.

When not at KUMC, Jen loves spending time with family and friends, biking, swimming and other outdoor activities, cooking and eating good food, reading, cross-stitching, and going to live events, whether they be music, author lectures, or sports (especially Jayhawk basketball!).
