Who Should—and Can—Get Lecanemab, the New Alzheimer Disease Drug?
Before lecanemab, aducanumab was granted accelerated approval in June 2021. The two drugs are considered to be the first FDA-approved disease-modifying therapies for AD, unlike treatments that address symptoms but not the underlying cause. KU establishes four-state Heartland Consortium as part of All of Us Research Program
The University of Kansas Medical Center is establishing a Midwest consortium as part of the National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Research Program. KU Medical Center and its partners will receive $6.3 million in initial funding, with the potential to renew the award every year for four years.
