Professional Background

Dr. Andrew Pfeffer is an Associate Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine and Program Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center and The University of Kansas Health System.

Dr. Pfeffer received his undergraduate degree in American History from Brown University, and his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He then proceeded to complete his Emergency Medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Pfeffer held multiple roles at Vanderbilt including Assistant Program Director for Emergency Medicine, Core Faculty for EM, Chief-Resident, and Mentor for Batson College in the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

Dr. Pfeffer's primary interests include resident and undergraduate medical education, and advocacy for health equity.
