Dr. Allyson Briggs is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine. She serves as Assistant Program Director for the EMS and Disaster Medicine Fellowship and is active in undergraduate and graduate medical education. She serves as the medical director for several fire/ EMS agencies and a regional tactical medical team. She has been recognized for her work in event and mass gathering medicine, including treating patients on scene of the Kansas City Super Bowl Rally.
Dr. Briggs received her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed emergency medicine residency, chief residency, and Emergency Medical Services and Disaster Medicine Fellowship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
