Page Types in the CMS
Section Front
The section front page type is generally used for the "home" to departmental sites, or sites that require a different navigation than their parent

a. The navigation for the section is usually a "flyout" navigation that is dynamically generated by reading through the site tree for all children pages of the home page.
b. It is possible to add a search box that will search only your site collection. This must be set up by internet development.
c. Section fronts are unique in that you may load up to 5 images (all must be 520 pixels wide and of the same height) that will fade into/out of each other. These images may also be linked to a page.
d. This is an xhtml section that allows text, images, tables and other custom content.
e. The right column may contain components (reusable pieces of content) displaying RSS feeds, link lists, a promo area (xhtml area), photo, etc.
f. Link back to the section home. This is part of the section control that is created and maintained by Internet Development.
g. Bread crumb is dynamically generated by the file location in the site tree.
Detail Page
A detail page is used for pages that reside under a section front to inherit the navigation of it's parent page in the site tree.

- Detail pages have essentially have all options of a section front, except for the rotating images at the top.
- There is an xhtml section in the center that allows text, images, tables and other custom content.
- The right column may contain components (reusable pieces of content) displaying RSS feeds, link lists, a promo area (xhtml area), photo, etc.
Roster Page
For departments and units that want to maintain individual bio pages for faculty/staff, a roster page type can be set as the parent of those pages and will automatically generate a page with the thumbnail, person's name and title.
Info on this page cannot be edited directly since it is based on the information coming from its children (bio) pages.
