Wyandot Development Corporation Minutes
(Wyandotte County Economic Development Council)
April 28, 2004, 11:00 a.m.
Bonner Springs Community Center, 200 E. 3rd Street

Board Members Present: District Commissioner Tom Cooley, Mayor Stephanie Eickhoff, Mayor Carol Marinovich, Bob Milan (Board of Public Utilities), and Mayor Clausie Smith.

Board Members Absent: None.

Others Present: Susan Rohrer (Leadership 2000), Ron Cobb (CPC), Jim Thompson (Wyandotte Development Inc.), and Carol Sharp (City of Bonner Springs).

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Smith at approximately 11:10 a.m.

Approval of Minutes The minutes of the January 21, 2004 meeting were unanimously approved with one correction, (The City of Edwardsville is still waiting for state approval of bonds) on a motion by Mayor Marinovich and seconded by Mayor Eickhoff.

Citizen's Planning Committee Update Ron Cobb reported on the Best of Wyandotte Program.

Treasurer's Report Tom Cooley presented the Treasurer's Report for the period January 1 through March 31, 2004, providing an overview and explanation of the annual report, cash report, and payments to The New Century Partnership. Reported that revenue had not yet been received from the Best of Wyandotte. The Treasurer's Report was unanimously approved on a motion by Mayor Marinovich and a second by Mayor Eickhoff.

Host Report: Bonner Springs Mayor Smith reported that work on the Lei Valley Subdivision has started, new town-homes are being built on 138th Street, condominium style housing for over 55 year-olds are going in on 138th Street, McDonald's has begun re-building, met with Kansas Department of Transportation regarding plans for K-7. Information Items Board members provided updates from their respective jurisdictions.

Other Business The next meeting will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21st, at the Unified Government. Teresa Garrison will be making a presentation to the board in July regarding the WCEDC Web Site. The meeting was adjourned at 11:50 a.m.
