Poster dimensions: 4 ft by 4 ft.
Double-sided poster boards will be available in Beller 1001-1009 (4 posters per board, 2 on each side). T-pins will be provided. Abstract/poster numbers will be included in your registration packet at the registration desk (outside G013 School of Nursing) and will indicate the location for your poster on the poster boards. An additional registration desk will be set up in the Beller Conference Center for registrants whose packets were not picked up prior to the start of the Keynote Lecture (Keynote Lecture is from 5:00-6:15 p.m., G013 SON).
Posters should be hung between 6:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 6 in Beller 1001-1009, and removed by 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 6. Any posters left on poster boards after 9 p.m. on November 6 will be brought to the Kansas City Public Library the following morning (Friday, November 7) and will be available for pick-up at the symposium registration desk at the library (Helzberg Auditorium, 5th Fl.).
Trainee Poster Competition and Oral Presentation FAQs
Q: Who is eligible to participate?
A: Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows/Associates (trainees only); faculty and staff are not eligible to participate
Q: Is submitting a strong, clear abstract really that important???
A: YES! The judges will select the Trainee Oral Presentations and the Trainee Poster Competition finalists based upon the abstracts submitted.
Q: How do I submit my abstract, indicate my interest in being considered for a Trainee Oral Presentation and participate in the Trainee Poster Competition?
A: Go to our Abstract Submission Page, submit your abstract, and "check" the appropriate box(es) at the bottom of the page indicating your intentions. To submit your abstract, upload the Word document as directed.
Q: If I am selected to give a Trainee Oral Presentation, am I still eligible to participate in the Trainee Poster Competition?
A: No; giving an oral presentation is an honor that provides a high level of recognition. A certificate will be given to those trainees who give oral presentations.
Q: Who will judge the abstracts?
A: The Greenwald Symposium Organizing Committee will judge the abstracts.
Q: How many Trainee Oral Presentations will be included in this year's program?
A: The Greenwald Symposium Organizing Committee will select 4 abstracts for oral presentation.
Q: How many poster awards will be made?
A: The Greenwald Symposium Organizing Committee will award Poster Competition awards to 2 graduate students and 2 postdoctoral fellows/associates.
