Suggestion: To whom it may concern, First off I'd like to say that I found the majority of the links on this site extremely informative and clear cut. However I couldn't obtain access into the study guides section. Is there any way you could help me out? Please, it would be much appreciated..

Response: Thanks for your note. Unfortunately our study guides have been copyrighted by their authors, so they are unavailable to non-KUMC affliates. (2004-10-05 10:26:21.0)

Suggestion: Our company has searched your website for a link regarding logo licensing / marketing and has been very unsuccessful. We are currently producing edge lit mirrors, personalized and customized for several different colleges, businesses, and individuals, with different names, sayings and logos. In the past, we have donated, and actually given our product to the president, or dean of universities, with their name and logo as part of a ¿thank you¿ for considering rights to licensing, as well as, just an example of what we do. We would consider doing the same for you, or your graduating class. If you could please help us out, to be part of your team, and support your school, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much, Miranda Kolbeck RH Industries, Inc. 2401 W Frontview Dodge City, KS 67801 620-225-4344 Fax 620-225-5490

Suggestion: This is not a suggestion, but a question. Do you have information on biomedical research summer internships at the KUMC location? Programs I am familar with are BRIN, SURE, etc. If I can get someone to contact or a website to get the information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Response: Thank you for using the KUMC Pulse Suggestion Box. I am going to forward your question to Dr. Joan Hunt and Dr. Alan Rawitch for a reply. Thanks. (2004-09-29 09:49:37.0)

Suggestion: As an incentive for employee retention and a benefit of continued service, could a plan be implemented that provides free parking in increasingly preferred parking areas as length of employment increases. For example, after 5 years, free yellow. After 10 years, free red, After 15 years, free blue. After 20 years, free garage.

Response: Thank you for using the KUMC Pulse Suggestion Box. Unfortunately there is no such thing as "free parking". Under Kansas law, construction and maintenance of University parking facilities, as well as services such as the shuttle buses are supported solely by collected user fees. The University is extremely mindful that staff must pay for their parking. Permit fees are established at minimum required levels to cover actual parking expenses. "Free parking" for longer term staff would necessitate a much higher fee for those employees and students with lesser years of service. (2004-08-30 09:49:35.0)

Suggestion: How can I donate my body to science (once I die)? I want it to go to KUMC. Thanks in advance for a quick. response

Response: Thanks for your note. You can contact the Willed Body program at (913) 588-2735. (2004-05-06 14:52:55.0)

Suggestion: Where and when will employees be able to sign up for this year's Corporate Challenge?

Response: Thank you for using the KUMC Pulse Suggestion Box. I suggest that you call the Kirmayer Fitness Center and speak with the director, Jan Schmidt. Jan can be reached at 913.588.7703. Thank you. (2004-04-20 16:36:05.0)

Suggestion: How about putting the new mail stop numbers on the addresses within the Medical Center here on the web site?

Response: Thanks for your note. Mail stop codes were added to addresses in the online phone book in November 2003 for those the Mailroom could readily identify. The directory contacts responsible for maintaining info in the phonebook can change or add mail stops. Individual departments have responsiblity for maintaining address information on their own web sites. (2004-01-27 14:42:35.0)

Suggestion: Is it possible to add a boolean 'NOT' option to the KUMC site's search feature? Results of several searches lately have identified KUMC and KU-Wichita pages, and the latter are not necessary for my purposes (example "in-state travel").

Response: Yes, you can do extensive customization of your searches. KUMC uses the Google search engine, so for more help in constructing searches, see their help section at: http://www.google.com/help/refinesearch.html (2004-01-08 16:17:43.0)
