Nuts and Bolts of Student Organizations

Welcome!

The Office of Student Engagement welcomes your group as a registered student organization at the University of Kansas Medical Center.  This office is meant to serve as a resource for you by offering a range of services to meet your needs.

Registered Student Organizations are a vital aspect of campus life.  Annually, there are over 50 registered student organizations at KUMC comprised of students, faculty and staff.  These organizations each have a different emphasis such as diversity, service-learning, government, national affiliation, special interests, academic pursuits and opinion based.  These organizations combine to offer a variety of programs and events for our campus throughout the year.

This “Nuts and Bolts” Guide for Student Organizations was created by the Office of Engagement to serve as a general resource for your organization.  In this website, you will find valuable information for your organization, including ways to get started, funding ideas, campus policy, facility use guidelines, publicity options, e-mail accounts, webpage accounts, and many other resources designed to support your activities.
