At the University of Kansas Medical Center, the Office of Student Engagement strives to enrich the lives of all students through quality out-of-class learning and programming designed to encourage and maintain a balanced approach to life as well as an appreciation for diversity.
What we do…
The Office of Student Engagement supports and provides resources for all registered student organizations, including the KUMC Student Governing Council. In addition, the office’s other areas of responsibility include the Student Wellness Program, Community Outreach Program, leadership development and diversity education. The Office of Student Engagement is open 8:00-5:00
Monday through Friday.
World AIDS Day, observed on December 1st of each year, is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection.
On the KUMC Campus our World AIDS Day observance is lead by the Student World AIDS Group and the Office of Student Engagement. In addition to a week of noontime programs, we are excited to host several panels of the NAMES Project Foundation AIDS Memorial Quilt.
