Visiting medical students may enroll in elective 1 or 2 of the eligible rotations (total of 8 weeks) at the
University of Kansas School of Medicine Kansas City campus.
Only those elective courses listed in the Kansas City portion of the University of Kansas School of Medicine catalog are available to visiting students provided the prerequisites are met. Visiting students will be considered only after the University of Kansas medical students have been scheduled.

Visiting Medical Student Requirements
Medical Students from LCME Accredited Schools- The University of Kansas School of Medicine Kansas City Campus will be participating in VSAS, the new Visiting Student Application Service, to receive visiting student applications starting in early April for the 2008-09 school year. For more information on VSAS, please see www.aamc.org/vsas or contact vsas@aamc.org or (202) 478-9878. Students will not be able to use VSAS until April 15, 2008.
Osteopathic Students-must submit a paper application to the Office of the Registrar which will be sent to the clinical department for review. Prospective visiting students are not allowed to initially contact clinical departments.

A COMPLETE application must be received 30 days prior to the start of the rotation in order to be considered.
Applications for Fall 2008 will not be reviewed until after April 15, 2008. Consideration for rotations are based on the student's application and rotation availability and is not on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Spring 2009 applications will not be reviewed until September 1, 2008.
