Procedures for New KUMC Students
Welcome to the University of Kansas Medical Center! We want your initial enrollment experience to be as smooth as possible.
Student Health Requirements:
At least two weeks prior to enrollment, all KUMC students are required to submit:
1. Immunizations Form: All KUMC students are required to have a complete immunization record on file in Student Health Services. At the time of enrollment, students will be required to receive any missing immunizations. Please refer to the immunization fee schedule on the back of the Student Immunization Record. Login into myKUMC and fill out the immunization form under the student orientation tab.
2.Health History/Physical Exam From: All KUMC students are required to complete a student health history record and receive a physical examination 6 months prior to starting their academic program.

If you are interested in receiving a physical examination at Student Health prior to your enrollment, please call the clinic at (913) 588-1941. If you need to have immunizations prior to enrollment, we offer a walk in clinic between 11am and 1pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
3. Policy on Communicable Diseases
All enrolled students with a communicable disease that may affect the health and safety of others MUST advise Student Health Services. Students in this situation are required to provide medical records in order to determine if reasonable accommodations can be made by KUMC to provide the student with the normal course of study without risk to him/herself or to others.
