Healthy Bodies for Healthy MindsStudent Health Home | HBHM Home Services Offered at the Student Health CenterBy Stephanie Jernigan At KUMC Student Health, we are committed to providing high quality, primary care services to students in a professional, considerate and respectful manner. The Student Health Services staff provides treatment without discrimination based on race, religion, color, sex, disability, national origin or sexual orientation. Privacy and confidentiality are strictly honored. Delivery of health care services is conducted in a manner reflecting support for the educational mission of the University of Kansas Medical Center. As part of our services at Student Health, we:
Staffing includes three part-time nurse practitioners, one full-time registered nurse, one full-time administrative Specialist, and two part-time physicians. The Physicians are from the Department of Family Medicine. We operate on a scheduled appointment basis, but will take walk-ins and urgent care visits if there is availability. If a student presents after hours or when a provider is not available, they are referred to the Department of Family Medicine, the student’s primary care provider or the ER depending on the student’s insurance and the urgency of the situation. Clinic hours are as follows: Monday: 8 am to 7 pm
