Meet the Staff

Lisa Erwin is the Director of Student Financial Aid at KUMC. Lisa has worked within higher education for over 15 years. She started her career at Fort Hays State University in student affairs. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Indiana University and a Master of Science in Student Affairs from Fort Hays State University. She is currently working on her PhD in Counseling & Education with a emphasis in Student Affairs. She came to KUMC in 2001 after serving in many roles through her career within student affairs. She has been involved with several committees and a member of several associations, including NASPA.

Angie Dopp is the Associate Director of Student Financial Aid at KUMC. Angie has worked at KUMC for over five years. She came to KUMC from Pittsburg State University, where she worked in the Office of Student Financial Assistance for two years. She graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree, emphasizing in finance. She is a member of KASFAA (Kansas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators), RMASFAA (Rocky Mountain Association of Student Financial Administrators, and NASFAA (National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.

Kristi Nicol is the Senior Coordinator of Student Financial Aid at KUMC. Kristi has worked within the financial aid realm for over five years. She began her adventures as a student worker at Kansas State University. Upon graduation from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in History, she enrolled in the College Student Personnel graduate program. She began working as the Financial Aid Graduate Assistant and soon graduated with her Master's in College Student Personnel. She participates and serves on several associations, including KASFAA, RMASFAA, and NASFAA.

Andrea Gutierrez is the Senior Administrative Assistant for the Financial Aid Office at KUMC. Andrea recently graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Biology and joined the Financial Aid office shortly thereafter. Andrea previously worked in student services at the Psychology Department while attending KU. She currently assists the Financial Aid staff with administrative tasks and services.
