Each year the Graduate Student Council sponsors the Student Research Forum (SRF). A two-day interactive event, next year's SRF will be held on April 10 - 11, 2008. It will showcase research conducted by students from the schools of medicine, nursing, allied health, and graduate studies. In addition to the student presentations, the SRF features the extremely popular A.L Chapman Keynote Lecture as well as a Workshop focused on the professional development of attendees.

A highlight of the Student Research Forum,

the A.L. Chapman Lecture series was created in honor of A.L. Chapman, Professor Emeritus of Anatomy & Cell Biology and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Emeritus.
The 2008 lecture features Dr. Hugo J. Bellen, D.V.M., Ph.D. Investigator, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Professor, Program in Developmental Biology, Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Bellen's lecture title is “Lou Gehrig, Flies, Worms, and Ephrin Receptors: Pathogenesis of ALS” . Learn more
